OUR STORY AND IDEA OF TIMBERTEC
Meet Peter, a passionate builder with over 15 years of hands-on experience in the building industry. With countless projects under his tool belt, Peter understands the frustrations that tradies face today.
“Not enough hours in the day”
As a dedicated family man and and business owner, Peter was frustrated spending so much time manually putting together timber lists, he thought, “there has to be a better way”. What if he could create a tool that could simplify and automate the takeoff process. A tool he originally planned to use for his own business, and after many discussions with his fellow builders onsite, Peter quickly realised there was a demand for such a tool. From there, TimberTec was born.
Driven by a passion for innovation and problem-solving, Peter teamed up with an experienced software engineer to develop TimberTec with a single mission in mind, to simplify the timber takeoff process and take back the lost hours to spend them where they matter most.
Meet Rost, the tech guru and CTO behind Timbertec. Rost boasts an impressive resume with over 25 years’ experience as a Tertiary qualified Software Engineer with extensive experience in full SDLC including analysis, planning, architecture design, software and database development, testing and technical documentation, just to name a few.
With a passion for AI and a keen eye on emerging technology combined with his experience as a trainer, coach and project manager, it’s no surprise Rost was headhunted by Peter. Together they are building TimberTec from the ground up, laying the foundations and framework to deliver the most innovative timber takeoff app on the market.
